Burton Law Office PLLC is owned and operated by Aaron M. Burton. Aaron graduated from the Sturm College of Law in 2016 with a dual-degree in law and taxation. Aaron earned early recognition from the American Bar Association Tax Section for his research and writing on a complex corporate tax problem, earning an award for the 2016 Law Student Tax Challenge. Aaron was recently named by Best Lawyers as “One to Watch” in the area of trusts and estates.

Aaron began private practice in 2018 focusing his law practice on the areas of tax, trusts and estates, and business law. Aaron has represented business entities of all sizes, as well as individuals and trusts and estates from the most modest to ultra-high net worth. Regardless of background, each and every one of Aaron’s clients deserves and gets the same respect, attention to detail, and honesty.

Aaron is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section and Tax Section. He frequently writes and lectures on matters related to trusts and estates and taxation. Aaron is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council.

Personal Background

Prior to law school, Aaron was an enlisted soldier in the US Army and worked for the National Security Agency as an Arabic linguist. Aaron currently lives in Centennial with his wife Melissa and their two adorable dogs, Stella and Wallace. In his free time, Aaron enjoys fly-fishing, snowboarding, golfing, traveling, and reading about Colorado’s rich history. Aaron is an avid supporter of all local sports teams, especially the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rapids.
